World’s Historical Landmarks


Whenever you go for a holiday, there are certain places which make you feel as these are the best in the world. Moreover, there are certain famous landmarks in every city or country that beautifies the place even more. Here we are going to talk about some historical landmarks. The landmarks status is being designed by the combination of various features including its style, architecture, construction etc. There are natural landmarks as well and sometimes these natural features such as volcanoes, mountains, waterfalls are enough to attract the attention of visitors and the phenomenon is then labeled as a landmark.

Great Wall of China: This landmark was built more than two thousand years ago. Moreover, it is one of the greatest wonders of the world and it just looks like a gigantic dragon. With a long history, some of the sections of the wall have now ruined or some of them are entirely disappeared. However, it’s still the most fascinating attraction due to its unique architecture. It was mostly built during the Ming dynasty and it stretches for about for 8,851.8 km. The Chinese were already familiar with the technique of wall building. It stretches across the mountains of northern China and northwest of Beijing.



Petronas Twin Towers
: These are the world’s tallest towers and the tallest twin buildings. The towers have 88 floors. These are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and it was designed by an Argentine-American architect Cesar Pelli and it was completed in the year 1998. This building has been built on the deepest foundation in the world.

Historical Landmarks in Australia:



Sydney Harbor Bridge
: This is the world’s massive steel arch bridge which is soaring high around 134 meters above the harbor. The bridge is well constructed to carry pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The bridge has always been the point of focus during major celebrations such as New Years’ Eve or at the time of announcement of Olympic Games in Sydney. The bridge carries eight vehicle lanes, a footway, cycle way and two train lanes. Today, each day around 161,000 vehicles use the bridge.

Royal Botanic Gardens: These gardens were first established in Sydney and are recognized as one of the finest botanical gardens in the world. The garden is situated overlooking Farm Cove. It is free to access to the visitors and it is opened all round the year. This is the place which has a natural beauty where people come for relaxation, recreation and entertainment.
